Kinja'd!!!

Do any other oppos own a hover-dog? My model is very hard to focus on due to her blackness. The AF on my camera refuses to focus on her. Also on more car related news I really want this exact truck when I move to Italy this fall.

My GSD does that, although I’ve never tried to capture it in a photo.

I don’t have any pics of my Odin flying, but he did love to swim. I had to say goodbye to him last Sunday after 12 wonderful years.

That’s rough, I’d take my dog over some human family members.

Aw noooo. So sorry for your loss. I recently lost a dog too. It's always hard to lose such valuable members of your family.

Thanks all. This has been tough. I don’t know if I have even smiled since Sunday up until today (I was watching my kids play with plush German shepherds pretending like Odin was still around).

Ive had 3 Shepherds through the 40 years of my life and the loss of Odin was certainly the hardest even though he lived the longest. The past two years he really showed his age, but even up to 6 days before he died, I was still taking him on walks. He had a fast decline and while he didn't suffer long, it still wasn't easy.

I've only seen my father cry twice and one was when he had to put down his yellow lab, I think she was 16. It's such a hard decision but I am glad he didn't suffer long and had a loving family.

German Shepard Dog (actually the official breed name) .

Also know as my head of household security. We didn’t know it when we adopted her, but she turns out to be a bite trained guard dog almost certainly out of the working dog lines who knows all the German commands . I insist she always have a hot pink color for the juxtaposition. She is actually a big baby, but only to exactly three people in the world.

She does the hover dog thing off the side of the dog couch for a more dramatic entrance to threatening the life of anyone unfortunate enough to ring the door bell. Once she lands at the front door she rear up and pounds her front paws on the door for extra effect. All of our regular delivery guys know to never ring the door bell. They just quietly leave the package by the door and back away.

Kinja'd!!!

She  gets offended when you point in her general direction.
